Enrique Freeman is officially back with the Timberwolves. The Cleveland native and former Akron standout re-signed on a two-way contract Tuesday, according to NBA.com’s transaction log.
The signing completes the return we detailed here Tuesday, giving Freeman another opportunity with an organization that already knows his game.
Freeman, 26, will be eligible to appear in up to 48 NBA games this season. He joins Rocco Zikarsky and Zyon Pullin as Minnesota’s two-way players.
The Wolves waived Freeman on Oct. 17 after re-signing him in July. After considering their options, they brought back a player who is well-liked internally and familiar with coach Chris Finch’s system, per Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.
Freeman is expected to report to the Iowa Wolves, where he spent most of last season. He averaged 16.5 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 39 G League appearances, shooting 54.2% from the field.
His NBA opportunities were limited to four games and 37 total minutes with Minnesota. He recorded 13 points and 10 rebounds in that time.
The No. 50 pick in the 2024 draft began his career with the Pacers before joining Minnesota in 2025. Now he’s back to trying to turn productive G League performances into a longer NBA look.
