Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert out against Nets
Matt Krohn / USA TODAY Sports

Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert is out for Saturday night's home game against the Brooklyn Nets, coach Chris Finch said pregame.

Gobert sprained his ankle during Friday's home loss to the Milwaukee Bucks and was listed as questionable with a left ankle sprain ahead of Saturday's game. Gobert told reporters after Friday's game that the sprain wasn't too bad and that he should be good to go moving forward.

Gobert is averaging 13.7 points, 12.7 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game for the Timberwolves and has been a big reason why Minnesota is in first place in the Western Conference standings. Gobert currently has the best odds to win the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year Award, which he's previously won three times.
