Atlanta is hoping to get back in the win column tomorrow vs the 76ers. After two straight losses, the Hawks are hoping to not fall too far out of the playoff picture.
The injury report for tomorrow's game was released this evening and atalnta had to add some names to it.
Star point guard Trae Young is listed as probable with right shoulder soreness, Clint Capela (right Achilles soreness) and Wesley Matthews (right calf soreness) are listed as questionable, and Mouhamed Gueye (right low back stress fracture), De'Andre Hunter (right knee inflammation), Vit Krejci (left shoulder subluxation), and Garrison Matthews (left ankle sprain) are listed as out.
If the injury report broke the wrong way for the Hawks, the starting lineup would likely be Dejounte Murray, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Saddiq Bey, Jalen Johnson, and Onyeka Okongwu. Both Wesley and Garrison Matthews have been coming off of the bench for the Hawks so that would make the rotations interesting if Wesley is ruled out. It could open up minutes for AJ Griffin or someone else.
The Hawks provided an injury update on Hunter and Garrison Matthews today:
"Forward De’Andre Hunter, who underwent a non-surgical procedure on Dec. 26 to address right knee inflammation, began participating in half court workouts late last week. He is expected to increase his basketball activities in the coming days, and his status will be updated as appropriate.
Guard Garrison Mathews, who left Sunday’s game at Orlando due to a left ankle injury, underwent an X-ray and MRI, which confirmed a left ankle sprain. He will be re-evaluated in one-to-two weeks and his status will be updated as appropriate."
Keep an eye on the injury report for tomorrow's game. The Hawks could be very shorthanded or they could be at mostly full strength against one of the Eastern Conference's best teams.
