This season, or tenure, has yet to go the way Tre Mann pictured when the Oklahoma City Thunder called his name in the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft. Mann fell out of the rotation quickly as the Thunder pieced together their rebuild, eventually building the best young core in the NBA.

With a logjam of guards, Mann has only experienced spotty minutes, mainly in garbage time, this season. Still, that has not stopped him from being a great teammate.

“Bigger picture just wanted to be a good teammate all the time,” Mann said to the Thunder Wire. “Supporting the guys, trust in the coaching staff and what their plans are. But really just being a good person and a good teammate.”

Despite mainly playing in garbage time, Mann's progression has been evident. More under control as a playmaker, a much better and aware defender, with really nice touch around the rim on a small sample size.

His teammates love being around him and highlight him as an ultimate teammate any chance they get. From his support on the bench to keeping things loose in practice and warm-ups to hyping up the squad on social media, Mann embodies being a team player.

With Tre Mann appearing on the injury report due to personal reasons multiple times in the last week, the team continued to express it was excused absences, so as to not spoil the surprise for their young guard.

On Saturday, Feb. 3rd, Mann revealed on Instagram he welcomed his first child into the world. Interestingly enough, this is also Mann's birthday now sharing the celebration with his own child.
