Two NBA props for Nuggets-Lakers Game 3

In the Western Conference Finals, we're on to Game 3, with the series flipping to Los Angeles. The Lakers are down 0-2 and sure seem likely to find a win tonight. Win or lose, there are a few points props that look promising tonight, we've got one for both ends.

Austin Reaves over 16.5 points (-105 DK)

What a story Austin Reaves has been. He went undrafted a year ago, and slowly but surely has worked his way into the starting lineup for Los Angeles. This is not who we thought we'd be backing in a pivotal Lakers game, but the data supports the pick.

Reaves has shot 15-30 from the field through two games this round, finishing with 23 and 22 points. Reaves now has 20+ points in four of his last five games, including 21- and 23-point efforts in each of the last two home games for the Lakers. Those two home games were also wins for Los Angeles, an outcome we expect for them tonight.

Given Reaves' volume and role in the Lakers' success, we're all about his points prop here tonight.

Jamal Murray over 24.5 points (-125 DK)

That fourth quarter from Game 2 is most definitely fresh in our minds, and we're liking Jamal Murray to keep the momentum rolling as this series hits the road.

Being away from Denver has been no issue for the Nuggets guard, as Murray has gone for 25+ points in three straight away from home. He's dropped 31 and 37 points in the first two games this series on 52.3% shooting.

He's exceeded tonight's total in three straight games against the Lakers and seven of his last nine overall. We're following the hot hand this evening.
