The Phoenix Suns are reportedly not done making moves this offseason.
After an underwhelming two-year experiment with the Big 3 of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal, the Phoenix Suns pulled the trigger on the trio this offseason.
First, the Suns traded Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets. With the KD trade saga over, the franchise shifted its focus to Beal.
The 3x NBA All-Star recently completed a contract buyout with the Suns, giving back the bare minimum $13.9 million out of his $110 million deal over the next two seasons. Beal signed with the LA Clippers after clearing waivers.
However, the Suns’ top brass are reportedly not yet satisfied as they are expected to part ways with additional players ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season.
NBA insider Brett Siegel recently made an appearance on the PHNX Suns podcast, where he discussed the next moves that the team has planned.
He talked about how Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale are reportedly on the trading block and could be moved soon.
“I think there’s a lot more interest in Royce O’Neale than Grayson Allen, and that’s purely from a contractual standpoint.
“Those are two players that they’re actively chatting about on the trade market. They’re talking to teams about what they could get,” Siegel said.
He added: “The Suns aren’t necessarily done making moves just yet, and they still want to create flexibility for themselves moving forward.”
For context, Allen is all set to make $16.8 million next season while O’Neale will be earning $10.1 million with the franchise.

The lack of a talented bench was a key reason behind the Suns finishing the 2024-25 NBA season with a terrible 36-46 record in the Western Conference.
With that said, it’s no surprise that the likes of Allen and O’Neale are reportedly on the trading block. After all, Allen put up 10.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
On the other hand, O’Neale contributed 9.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. While both had decent numbers, it wasn’t enough to push the Suns to the next level.
Additionally, Allen will turn 30 next season while O’Neal is already 32. If the Suns want to start fresh, they need to bring in a fleet of young stars rather than relying too much on veterans.
