We can't tell which harness race his horse won, or which of Jokic's half-dozen horses was competing. But there's a huge contrast to Jokic's animated dancing with his horse racing trophy and his attitude after the Finals.

By contrast, he briefly lost his Finals MVP trophy the night of the Finals win.
Jokic originally wanted to race horses rather than play basketball. The big man claims he finished as high as fourth in one race, before grudgingly realizing that his huge frame was better suited for the hardcourt than a horse cart.

Denver is a good bet to make another deep playoff run next year, which is bittersweet for Jokic. Sure, he loves winning titles. But it would be even more enjoyable if the NBA Finals didn't cut into harness racing season.
