Ty Lue Reacts to Celtics Destroying the Clippers
USA TODAY Sports

On Saturday afternoon, the Boston Celtics gave the Clippers this largest point loss of the season. It was an absolute beatdown that at no point looked like the Clippers were going to win. After winning nine straight games, LA has now lost two straight games, but head coach Ty Lue isn't worried.

After the game, head coach Ty Lue gave his full thoughts on the loss - his main priority is getting some momentum back from Kawhi Leonard returning from injury.

"Yeah I think getting Kawhi back and getting him [ Kawhi Leonard] healthy. And have a chance to get some rest. That was a tough trip for us. You know three or four going to the East Coast and then playing two games in the Midwest for a back-to-back and coming back to an early game. We knew it was going to be a challenge but still did not want to use that as an excuse. To start the game, I thought we were okay. I think it was 16 - 12 or 16 - 14 or something like that and then we kind of let the game get away from us with that three-point barrage. We fouled a couple of jump shots for threes and a couple of things like that, so we just gotta be better and we will! We can't get discouraged because of the last two games. We've built a lot of good things and so come back on Tuesday and hopefully get back on the winning track."

The LA Clippers have a few days off before their next game against the Charlotte Hornets on December 26. Regardless of whether or not Kawhi Leonard returns by then, that's a game that the Clippers should win.
