Tyrese Haliburton was definitely feeling some déjà vu on Friday night.

Toronto Raptors guard RJ Barrett had the shot of the playoffs thus far in Game 6 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. In overtime at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ont., Barrett hit a game-winning three-pointer that bounced high off the back of the rim before dramatically falling through the net.

Barrett’s shot gave Toronto a miraculous 112-110 win and forced a Game 7 in the series on Sunday. You can see the video of the game-winner here.

In response, the Indiana Pacers guard Haliburton had the most legendary post to his X page. “That looked familiar,” Haliburton wrote.

Haliburton, of course, had a number of clutch shots of his own during Indiana’s run to the NBA Finals last year. The most iconic one was a game-tying buzzer-beater against the New York Knicks that took just as suspenseful of a bounce as Barrett’s shot did before going in.

There were admittedly some subtle differences between the two shots (e.g. Barrett’s being an actual game-winner and Haliburton’s taking place in a conference finals game on the road to cap off a late 15-point comeback). But to the tune of over 135,000 likes on Friday night, Haliburton certainly saw the similarities.
