The Indiana Pacers and Tyrese Haliburton started Game 7 on a tear. Haliburton scored nine quick points on three three-pointers.

It appeared as if Haliburton was going to have a huge game. Then, tragedy struck.

With 4:55 remaining in the first quarter, Haliburton faked a shot and went to make a drive. As soon as he made his move, Haliburton fell to the floor in pain.

This would end Haliburton’s night, as he was helped off the court. As of now, there’s no official word on what the injury is, but Haliburton’s father did tell reporters that it is an Achilles injury.

Haliburton has been dealing with a calf injury since Game 5. He’s surprised everyone by not missing a game and giving it his all while on the court.

The injury Haliburton suffered very well could be an Achilles injury. When Haliburton made his move, you could see his leg “pop.”

Haliburton will not return to Game 7, and if it is an Achilles injury, he’ll likely miss most of next season. It’s a shame, Haliburton has been the hero and star of the entire playoffs.

For Haliburton not to be able to play the entire Game 7 is a true basketball tragedy.
