Tyrese Haliburton pulls a fantastic troll job on Milwaukee

Tyrese Haliburton may be out for the coming season, but that isn’t stopping him from engaging in some antics.

The injured Indiana Pacers star Haliburton was in attendance on the sideline for Monday’s preseason game against the San Antonio Spurs. Notably, Haliburton was rocking a Shohei Ohtani-LA Dodgers jersey during the contest.

The Dodgers faced the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday for Game 1 of their NLCS matchup. Haliburton might not necessarily care much about the Dodgers. But he definitely cares about who Milwaukee’s opponent is.

During another preseason game on Saturday, Haliburton was wearing a Chicago Cubs jersey on the sideline. That day, the Cubs played the Brewers in Game 5 of their NLDS series (with Milwaukee ultimately winning 3-1 to advance to the NLCS).

Haliburton has a well-documented history of beef with Milwaukee, particularly with their NBA team, the Bucks. The Pacers and the Bucks are rivals in the Central Division and have met in the playoffs in each of the last two seasons (with Indiana prevailing both times).

The two-time All-Star Haliburton himself has gotten heated with multiple Bucks players in the past, and even his family members have history when it comes to Milwaukee. Haliburton’s father John memorably feuded with Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo during last year’s playoffs, and Haliburton once said that his brother was called the N-word while in Milwaukee.

Ultimately, Haliburton ended up being good luck for the Dodgers, who held on to win Monday’s Game 1 by a 2-1 final score. But Haliburton’s primary interest though is probably less so the Dodgers and more so seeing Milwaukee fans in pain.
