It’s been a wild few months for Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton. His team came up just short of its first-ever NBA title. In the final game, Haliburton suffered an injury that will keep him sidelined for most of the 2025-26 season.

Now, the former Iowa State Cyclones point guard has made headlines off the court. Haliburton proposed to his longtime girlfriend Jade Jones at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa. The couple first met at Iowa State University in 2019.

Haliburton shared the moment on Instagram, tagging his new fiancée and writing:

“The place where our story started, and where our next chapter begins❤️.”

Jones has been one of Haliburton’s biggest supporters throughout his career. She’s been by his side during his time at Iowa State, with the Sacramento Kings, and now with the Pacers. She was also seen in Paris during the 2024 Olympics, where Haliburton represented Team USA.

During his college career, Haliburton played in 57 games at Iowa State and averaged 10.1 points per game. His second season was a standout year, though limited to just 22 games due to injury.

Since entering the league, Haliburton has become a two-time NBA All-Star. This past season, he played in 73 games and averaged 18.6 points per game. He added 17.3 points per game across 23 playoff appearances, helping lead the Pacers all the way to the 2025 NBA Finals.

The 6-foot-5 guard was selected 12th overall in the 2020 NBA Draft. He’s been named to the All-NBA Third Team twice.

Off the court, Haliburton is also well known in Indianapolis as a vocal supporter of the WNBA’s Indiana Fever. He’s frequently spotted courtside at Gainbridge Fieldhouse cheering on Caitlin Clark and her teammates during Clark’s second WNBA season.
