Los Angeles Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue has given his thoughts on today’s players’ use of load management. Despite coaching Kawhi Leonard, who takes full advantage of having off days, Lue is not in favor of it.
Lue recently made an appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast and said this about load management:
“I think there’s no better way than playing games, playing minutes, and getting in game shape. When I was coming up, guys wanted to play more minutes. Like, you always cried about playing more minutes, you know? So, now guys are crying about playing too many minutes.”

Most fans are in agreement with Lue. We want to see our favorite players play as much as they can. Hopefully, that toughness will return to the NBA one day.
