Unfortunate Kevin Durant Update Revealed Before Suns-Jazz Game

Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns have fallen to 25-25 after three consecutive losses. On Friday, they will look to turn things around with the Utah Jazz coming to town.

The trio of Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal has been a disappointing one over the past two seasons, with injuries being a key factor. Phoenix shopped some of its stars before Thursday's trade deadline, but the trio is sticking around.

The Suns did, however, trade center Jusuf Nurkic to the Charlotte Hornets, ridding themselves of his big contract.

Durant has been dealing with a left ankle sprain that kept him out for Wednesday's loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder. But Phoenix will be without their superstar once again, as the two-time NBA champion has also been ruled out against the Jazz.

Durant isn't the only star the Suns will be missing on Friday night, as Bradley Beal has been ruled out as well due to a toe issue.

Despite being 36 years old, Durant is still playing at an All-Star level. The former Texas Longhorns star is averaging 26.9 points on 52.4% shooting, 6.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists. Booker and Beal round out Phoenix's top scorers, averaging 26.0 and 17.4 points per game, respectively.

Following the Jazz game, Durant and the Suns will continue a three-game home stand with Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets coming to town on Saturday and Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday. They will wrap things up with a trip to Texas to take on the Houston Rockets before NBA All-Star Weekend begins.
