Is Victor Wembanyama the greatest NBA Draft prospect of all time? He still has to prove himself in the "big leagues," but if two games in Henderson, Nevada against the G-League's Ignite team are any indication, he's going to be a superstar.
If there's a prospect who can go head-to-head with Wembanyama it would be Scoot Henderson, the player many believe will go No. 2 overall in the draft behind the French sensation. The problem for Henderson's G-League Ignite is that he, unfortunately, went down with a knee injury early in the game, and that meant the stage was completely set for Wembanyama to put on a one-man show.
The 7-foot-4, 18-year-old center put up a stat line of 36 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks, and four assists as his Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92 team beat the Ignite, 112-106.
It was the second 30-plus-point performance Wembanyama put up against the Ignite in this two-game scrimmage series on US soil. Earlier in the week, he put up 37 points with five blocks against the G-League's premier team.
Wembanyama was so good in his "U.S. Tour" that LeBron James went as far as to call him an alien, and he meant it in a good way.
LeBron James is asked if he watched Victor Webanyama play last night, and if so, if he could share his thoughts.

James is right, and he would know a thing or two about being a No. 1 overall pick. Players like Wembanyama don't come around often, if ever. He's tall enough to be an elite defender and rim presence but he also has smooth shot from the three-point line that would make even someone like "King James" jealous.
I mean, just look at this kid:

Baseline turnaround fadeaway off the shimmy from Victor Wembanyama, who is already up to 32 points, 10 rebounds today. Footwork, touch, and high release point makes this basically an unguardable move. pic.twitter.com/AxVedciNxl

Pending injury or something completely unforeseen and out of left field, Wembanyama locked himself in as the consensus No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NBA draft thanks to his performance these past two games.
