Victor Wembanyama Out For Game 3

Victor Wembanyama has been ruled out for the Spurs‘ Game 3 against the Trail Blazers on Friday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports (via Twitter).

Wembanyama went through shootaround in an attempt to return from concussion protocol after taking a hard fall in Game 2, but ultimately was unable to give it a go.

“Obviously, there’s a lot that goes into that, but he’s doing well and progressing,” head coach Mitch Johnson said, per Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News (Twitter video link).

When pressed, Johnson declined to provide more details on his outlook, other than repeating that Wembanyama is making progress.
