On Wednesday evening, Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs faced off against Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics in Massachusetts. 

The Celtics won the game by a score of 117-98 and improved to a perfect 20-0 on their home floor.  

Despite the loss, Wembanyama had another big game, putting up 27 points, five rebounds, one assist and two blocks while shooting 10/19 from the field and 2/6 from the three-point range in 27 minutes of playing time. 

The 20-year-old also had a massive dunk on Luke Kornet that went viral on social media.  

Wembanyama is now averaging 19.8 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.1 steals and 3.1 blocks per contest while shooting 46.1% from the field and 29.3% from the three-point range in 35 games.

With the loss, the Spurs dropped to 7-33 in their first 40 games, which has them as the 15th seed (last place) in the Western Conference.

They are in the middle of a three-game losing streak and are 4-17 in the 21 games they have played on the road away from San Antonio, Texas.

Following Wednesday's loss, the Spurs will travel to North Carolina to face off against LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets on Friday evening. 

As for the Celtics, they are the first seed in the Eastern Conference and improved to 32-9 in their first 41 games.

They are in the middle of a three-game winning streak and will host Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets on Friday evening in Boston, Massachusetts.
