Kristaps Porzingis played in just his second game for the Golden State Warriors on Saturday following his mid-season trade from the Atlanta Hawks.

Porzingis was back on the court as the Warriors took on the Oklahoma City Thunder in a road game at Paycom Center. The former All-Star big man registered nine points on 3-of-10 shooting, five rebounds, five assists and a block in 23 minutes off the bench.

The Warriors, however, did not have enough in them to take down the defending champs. The Thunder defended their home court en route to a 104-97 victory.

Golden State dropped to 32-31 after the loss.

An illness has recently prevented Porzingis from taking the court for his new team. The 7-foot-2 big man, however, was able to shake it off for Saturday’s matchup against the Thunder.

Porzingis is now back on the injury report for Golden State’s next game. In fact, he has already been ruled out for Monday’s matchup against the Utah Jazz. The Warriors announced Porzingis’ status via the official injury report.

ESPN’s Anthony Slater reported on Saturday that the Warriors’ plan is to give Porzingis the night off on Monday. This is in preparation for Tuesday’s home matchup against the Chicago Bulls. Golden State plays twice in two nights, and the team has decided to let Porzingis rest on the front end of the back-to-back set.

Al Horford and Moses Moody have both been ruled out for Monday’s game as well. Steph Curry remains sidelined with a knee issue, but his brother, Seth Curry, has been listed as probable to play.

As for Porzingis, the expectation is that he will be back in action on Tuesday against the Bulls.
