Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors took another loss on Friday against the Detroit Pistons, 131-124. Curry registered a team-high 23 points on 7-of-16 shooting, to go along with one rebound, two assists, a block and four three-pointers in 25 minutes of action.

It was not enough for the Warriors, who could not hold off Cade Cunningham. The Pistons star went off for a game-high 29 points, four rebounds and 11 assists, leading Detroit to its second straight win.

The bigger concern for Golden State is that Curry left the game and did not return. He limped to the locker room in the third quarter due to a knee injury, which also forced him to miss practice on Monday.

Curry’s knee issue did not heal over the weekend. The former back-to-back MVP was sidelined for practice on Monday as the Warriors prepare for their matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters after practice, Golden State head coach Steve Kerr announced Curry’s status for the Sixers matchup. Unfortunately for the Warriors, Curry will not play. Kerr revealed that Curry has officially been ruled out for Tuesday’s game and that the 37-year-old is considered day-to-day moving forward.

Curry’s next chance to play will be on Thursday in a road game against the Phoenix Suns . However, more minutes will be available for the likes of Brandin Podziemski, De’Anthony Melton and Pat Spencer for the Sixers game.

Kerr also announced that Jonathan Kuminga remains out with a knee injury.

The Warriors enter Tuesday’s game with a 27-23 record. They are eighth in the Western Conference and, as of writing, are 3.0 games behind the seventh-seeded Suns.
