While Draymond Green may not regret his decision to defend a teammate, which ultimately led to him putting Rudy Gobert in a chokehold, it appears he does feel some remorse about the situation. Specifically, he apparently felt the need to apologize to his own teammates for the decision and the suspension that came along with it.
As TNT's Chris Haynes detailed, the apology Green did make was to the Warriors players, reportedly admitting the situation could have been handled differently, specifically due to the team's current record.
"He actually apologized to his teammates for that. He doesn't regret anything ... but he said that was a situation where he had to apologize to his teammates and tell them, 'Listen, I understand we're struggling, struggling shooting, we're not there in the wins column like we should be,' and so he said that was not the right time to be doing an action like that," Haynes said on NBA on TNT.

It's an impressive decision by Green, and he's correct about the current state of the Warriors. As Haynes pointed out, The Warriors went just 2-3 in Green's absence, and following Tuesday's loss to the Sacramento Kings, they sit at 8-10 on the year.
