The Golden State Warriors were on the road on Wednesday night as they faced off against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 of their second-round series.

Of course, Wednesday’s contest was a must-win for the Warriors after they had fallen behind 3-1 in the series and to make matters worse, they were once again without their star guard Stephen Curry who continues to be sidelined due to a left hamstring strain.

Minnesota was able to get off to a fast start in the game as they dominated their way through the first three quarters.

Despite this, the Warriors made a solid comeback in the fourth quarter but they fell short, losing the game 121-110.

With the loss, Golden State has now been eliminated from the playoffs while Minnesota now advances to the Western Conference Finals for the second consecutive season.

This was a disappointing ending to the season for the Warriors as struggled mightily without Curry in their lineup as nobody besides Jonathan Kuminga consistently stepped up in his absence.

Despite the loss on Wednesday, Warriors star forward Draymond Green made NBA playoff history twice in the game.

In the loss, Green recorded 10 points, six rebounds and six assists as he passed Ben Wallace for 21st on the all-time playoff rebounding list while he also passed Walt Frazier for 71st on the all-time playoff scoring list.

This is an incredible accomplishment for Green as he continues to play at a high level despite nearing the end of his career.

Despite his performance, Green was unable to help lead the Warriors past the second round of the playoffs as they now look to improve their roster in the offseason.

Of course, the Warriors have some key decisions to make in the offseason as they try to build a championship contending roster around their veteran trio of Curry, Jimmy Butler and Green.
