Steph Curry played through a knee injury on Sunday to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 111-85 blowout win on the road against the Minnesota Timberwolves . Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said before the game that Curry has been dealing with a left knee issue, which he first felt on Saturday. The team did not make their decision on Curry’s final status until close to tip-off.

Curry looked fine, though. He led the Warriors in scoring with 26 points on 7-of-18 shooting and 3-of-10 from beyond the arc. The former back-to-back MVP added two rebounds, seven assists and four steals in 28 minutes of action.

Curry is in the midst of another big year for Golden State. Heading into Sunday’s contest, the 37-year-old averaged 27.4 points on 47.0% shooting, 3.7 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.1 steals in 31.7 minutes per contest. Curry also leads the league in three-pointers with 4.6 per game on a 39.2% clip.

Curry made history again on Sunday. He entered the Wolves game with 26,371 points under his belt. The 12-time All-Star climbed the NBA’s all-time scoring leaderboard with his latest scoring outburst.

The Warriors took to social media to announce Curry’s latest career milestone.

“Climbing on up Stephen Curry passes John Havlicek for 20th most career points in NBA history,” the team posted on X.

As the post indicates, Curry, who now has 26,397 career points, has surpassed Hall of Fame forward John Havlicek for the No. 20 spot in the all-time scoring list. Curry is now chasing Paul Pierce, another Boston Celtics legend, for No. 19 on the esteemed list. Pierce also has 26,397 points to his name, and Curry should officially pass him on the list in Golden State’s next game.

The Warriors are back in action on Monday night in a rematch against Minnesota. It’s the second night of a back-to-back set, though, which means that Curry’s status for that one should be closely monitored, especially with the four-time NBA champion guard dealing with a sore knee.
