The Golden State Warriors have endured a rough start to the 2025–26 season, sitting at 5–5 and struggling to find consistency in a tough Western Conference. Stephen Curry remains their top performer, averaging 26.8 points per game while leading the team in scoring, though he has missed the past two games due to illness. Jimmy Butler, in his first full season with Golden State following his midseason arrival last season, has added 18.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists.
However, veteran forward Al Horford has been less effective, averaging 4.5 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting just 29.7% from the field in just six appearances. After back-to-back losses, the Warriors aim to rebound when they host the Indiana Pacers on Sunday night.
Ahead of Sunday’s 8:30 pm ET tipoff, the Warriors’ G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, completed a trade with the Wisconsin Herd, the G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, per Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer:
“Victor Oladipo will be joining the Wisconsin Herd, sources say. He was claimed off waivers by Santa Cruz and traded.”
Oladipo, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, is a two-time All-Star who averaged 16.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game during his 10-year NBA stint.

The veteran guard, known for his defense and explosiveness, has battled major injuries in recent years, including a ruptured quadriceps tendon in 2019 and a torn patellar tendon in 2023. He also had a brief stint in the Chinese Basketball Association before returning stateside.
For Santa Cruz, the deal opens roster space and allows younger players more opportunities, while for the Herd, it provides them with an experienced veteran seeking an NBA return. The Warriors, meanwhile, will look to build momentum on the court as their developmental team reshapes its roster.
