The are still waiting on Stephen Curry.

Curry missed his 10th straight game Saturday because of patellofemoral pain syndrome, commonly known as runner’s knee. During the broadcast, he said his return is not imminent.

“It’s going to be a little longer,” Curry said. “Right now with this one, it’s just about each day. Can you stack good days? I’ve done that, so hopefully they can unleash me on the court soon.”

Golden State has been cautious, hoping to avoid a setback as the postseason approaches.

Santos extension

Forward Gui Santos, who signed a three-year extension Saturday, credited patience and role acceptance for his rise into the starting lineup.

“I asked them what I got to do,” Santos said, via The Athletic’s Nick Friedell. “They said, ‘Play hard on defense, crash the boards, and find Steph.’ So I said, ‘All right, I’m doing that.’”

Santos was drafted 55th overall in 2022 and spent significant time developing in the G League before carving out a rotation role.

Another injury

The Warriors also lost guard Will Richard to a sprained right ankle during Saturday’s game, further testing Golden State’s depth.
