It has been a quiet offseason thus far for the Golden State Warriors as they have elected to not make many moves thus far.

Of course, the storyline for the Warriors heading into the offseason was the impending free agency of Jonathan Kuminga and whether Golden State would elect to keep him or work out a sign-and-trade with another team for him.

Kuminga has yet to make his decision as he continues to listen to offers from other teams with free agency beginning on Monday but Golden State has been linked to other players.

One player the Warriors have been linked to is Boston Celtics champion Al Horford as Golden State is in desperate need of a new starting center after struggling at the position over the last handful of seasons.

Despite this, Horford gained interest from many teams around the NBA, including some that could offer him more money that the Warriors.

Because of this, the Warriors may lose out on signing Horford in free agency and a recent report has revealed their potential backup plan if they are unable to sign him.

According to ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel, the Warriors could look at Chris Boucher as a potential backup plan if they miss out on Horford.

Of course, Boucher is also a free agent after spending seven seasons with the Toronto Raptors despite being in trade rumors over the last few seasons.

Last season, the 32-year-old big man averaged 10.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while shooting 49.2% from the field and 36.3% from three-point range.

Boucher is an undersized center but he is still able to hold his weight in the paint on the defensive end and he is also a solid scorer.

Golden State may also be able to sign him at a cheap price, though they will likely look for a better option to fill their void at the position this summer.
