The Golden State Warriors were dealt a brutal blow to their lineup with the loss of Stephen Curry during their second-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Golden State entered Game 2 with a 1-0 series lead, having defeated the Timberwolves despite having Curry sidelined for a large chunk of Game 1.

The Warriors defeated Minnesota 99-88 in Game 1 of the second-round series.

During Game 2, while the Warriors struggled to find rhythm on either end of the floor without Curry, they shared their appreciation for another aging star.

Golden State reacted to the NBA's historic post, which mentioned that Draymond Green had passed Dennis Johnson for the No. 14 spot on the NBA's all-time playoff assists list.

"23," posted the official social media account of the Golden State Warriors. "Draymond Green has passed Dennis Johnson for 14th most assists in Playoff history."

At this point in the game, Green had posted 1,007 playoff career assists. Johnson, who most knowingly made his mark in the NBA with the Boston Celtics, finished his career with 1,006 assists in the playoffs.

The following players are ranked ahead of Draymond Green in the all-time playoff assists list: Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Scottie Pippen, Steve Nash, Larry Bird, James Harden, Rajon Rondo, Tony Parker, Chris Paul, Jason Kidd, John Stockton, LeBron James and Magic Johnson.

Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson ranks No. 1 on the NBA's all-time playoff career assists list with 2,346 career playoff assists during his time in the league.

So far this season, Green has averaged 9.0 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game.

The Golden State Warriors star, who is widely regarded as one of the most versatile players in the NBA, finished the season as a finalist for the Defensive Player of the Year award.

Cleveland Cavaliers star Evan Mobley wound up winning the award.
