The 2024-25 NBA season came to an end on Sunday night as the Oklahoma City Thunder capped off their dominant season with a championship after winning Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

It was a tightly contested game in the first half but the Thunder were able to take control, especially on the defensive end, in the second half as they picked up the 103-91 victory.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way for the Thunder with 29 points, five rebounds and 12 assists en route to being named Finals MVP.

Jalen Williams also came up huge with 20 points, four rebounds and four assists while Chet Holmgren added 18 points, eight rebounds and five blocks of his own.

After the Thunder won the title on Sunday night over the Indiana Pacers, many took to social media to congratulate them on winning the championship including one of their rivals in the Western Conference.

That team was the Golden State Warriors who sent their congratulations to the Thunder after Game 7.

“That’s a wrap on the 2024-25 season. Congrats, OKC Thunder,” the Warriors posted on X.

This was a great message by the Warriors as they and the rest of the NBA clearly know just how special this Thunder team is after they capped off an incredible season with a championship.

Of course, the Thunder have been compared to the Warriors due to them possibly being the NBA’s next dynasty, which would follow the one by Golden State with their core of Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson.

Despite this, the Warriors will try to upgrade their roster around their new core of Curry, Green and Jimmy Butler this summer as they look to compete for a championship next season.

Either way, it appears as though the Thunder are going to be a tough team to beat again next season but Golden State will do everything they can to win another title for The Bay.
