The NBA offseason is underway and there are many teams around the league who are trying to upgrade their roster to become championship contenders next season.
Among them are the Golden State Warriors, who are trying to bolster their roster around their star trio of Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green.
For the Warriors, they have already been linked to many players on the free agent and trade market, including Naz Reid, Derrick White and Nikola Vucevic, but their offseason starts with the 2025 NBA Draft on Wednesday night.
Of course, the Warriors do not own a first-round pick in the 2025 draft so unless they make a trade for one, their draft will not begin until Thursday as they hold the 41st overall pick.
Ahead of the first round of the NBA draft on Wednesday night, the Warriors sent a message out on social media regarding their star guard Stephen Curry.
“On this date in 2009, the Dubs made the Draft Day selection that changed the game… for good,” Golden State posted on X regarding Curry being selected in the 2009 draft.

Of course, Curry was the seventh pick in the 2009 draft out of Davidson and he made an immediate impact in the NBA for the Warriors.
In his rookie season, he finished second in the Rookie of the Year race to Sacramento Kings guard Tyreke Evans.
Curry then became an NBA legend as he helped lead the Warriors to four championships alongside the core of Klay Thompson and Green, along with Kevin Durant for two title runs.
Over his NBA career thus far, Curry has become known as the greatest three-point shooter in league history as his 4,058 career made threes are the most in NBA history as he completely changed the way the game of basketball is played.
Curry will enter his 17th season in the NBA next year as he tries to lead the Warriors to another championship.
