Steph Curry led the Golden State Warriors to a 118-111 NBA preseason win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night. It was a nice bounce-back victory for the Warriors, who were coming off a 126-116 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.
Curry stole the spotlight on Tuesday, recording a game-high 28 points on 6-of-15 shooting, to go along with six rebounds, five assists and four triples in just 27 minutes of action. It was only a preseason game for Golden State, but his performance against the Blazers made it evident that Curry is ready to go for opening night.
Curry is entering his 17th year with the Warriors this season. After leading Golden State to four championships since 2014-15, the former back-to-back MVP will be looking to potentially add another one to his trophy collection in 2025-26.
Last season ended in disappointment for Curry and the Warriors. After beating the Houston Rockets in the first round of the NBA playoffs, Golden State fell at the hands of Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference semifinals, 4-1.
Curry is hoping to make amends this term, and if his performance on Tuesday night is any indication of what fans should expect from him this season, then it’s going to be another big year for the greatest shooter of all time.
Curry was so impressive against the Blazers that even the NBA was left in awe by his heroics.
“OH MY GOODNESS STEPH He caps off GSW's 13-0 run on NBA League Pass!” the league posted on X, sharing a video of Curry showing off his moves to finish off a fastbreak play.

Curry even looked like he was nudged from behind by his defender on the play, but the Warriors superstar was still able to finish the play to cap off a blistering third-quarter run for his team.
Golden State has one final preseason game left on Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers before it kicks off the new season with a highly anticipated matchup against the Lakers on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
