NBA superstar Stephen Curry is preparing for his 17th season, continuing to build on a career that has already cemented him as one of the league’s all-time greats. A four-time champion and two-time MVP, Curry has transformed the game with his shooting and playmaking while remaining the face of the Golden State Warriors’ franchise. Last season, he averaged 24.5 points, 6.0 assists and 4.4 rebounds in 70 games, and was named to the All-Star and All-NBA teams.

Away from the court, he has steadily grown his reputation as a businessman and investor. Now, with the new season approaching, Curry is making a personal move that extends his influence into a new industry.

Steph Curry Partners With Michael Mina on San Francisco Hospitality Projects

Curry will launch his first hospitality venture this October at the Westin St. Francis in Union Square. Teaming up with celebrity chef Michael Mina, he will introduce The Eighth Rule, a bourbon-driven bar inspired by his Gentleman’s Cut whiskey brand. The space will be intimate and reservation-only, designed as an extension of Curry’s growing spirits business.

Alongside it, Mina is set to open a new location of Bourbon Steak, his acclaimed restaurant concept already successful in New York and Seattle, marking its return to San Francisco for the first time since 2016 (h/t Paolo Bicchieri of San Francisco Eater).

The partnership continues Curry’s expanding business portfolio. His holding company, Thirty Ink, oversees investments in production, media, consumer goods, and technology. Unanimous Media, his production company, has worked across film, television, and digital projects, while Gentleman’s Cut has established him in the premium spirits market. The collaboration with Mina brings Curry into hospitality, positioning him as both an athlete and an entrepreneur with growing reach across industries.

Stephen Curry Enters Next Season as NBA’s Top Earner

Curry remains the NBA’s highest-paid player with a $59 million salary for next season. His current contract, a one-year extension worth $62.6 million signed a year ago, could keep him in Golden State up until at least the 2026-27 season.

While his off-court ventures continue to expand, his focus on the floor is equally important as the Warriors prepare to face tough competition in the Western Conference. Alongside Curry, Golden State will have the luxury of fielding fellow All-Stars Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green, as they aim to return to championship contention. The Warriors made the playoffs last season and will hope to advance past the second round with Curry leading the charge.
