Warriors Star Steph Curry Reveals Move Outside NBA

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry shared his foundation’s newest milestone in Oakland.

In 2019, Curry and his wife, Ayesha Curry, founded the Eat. Learn. Play. foundation. The non-profit’s goal is to support the well-being of children in Oakland by providing nutritious meals, reading resources, and opportunities to stay active.

Seven years into their noble cause, Curry and his foundation marked another big milestone. The Warriors superstar shared the news via an Instagram story, reposting the foundation’s announcement.

“In partnership with @kaboom and @ousdnews, @eatlearnplay was thrilled to join the Prescott school community to install 3 new kid-designed play structures, 2 1/2 multi-sport courts, 20 tables with umbrellas to create an outdoor classroom, 21 garden beds (the most we’ve ever done), an outdoor stage, 2 nature exploration areas, and beautiful murals throughout the school,” Eat. What made this feat more special is that Prescott is described as Oakland’s oldest running public school. It is also where Dr. Ida Louise Jackson, the first African American teacher in Oakland, worked.

This is Curry’s latest honorable move for Oakland as he continues to give back to the community through his foundation.

Meanwhile, the two-time MVP is heading into his 18th NBA season. Curry is also entering the final year of his contract with the Warriors.

Though his future with the team is still up in the air, as no negotiations are ongoing for a contract extension, the four-time NBA champion is keen on finishing his career with the same team that drafted him in 2009.
