Despite averaging 15, 5, and 5 through 25 starts in Charlotte last season, Gordon Hayward's role was greatly reduced in Oklahoma City in a match that didn't go well for either side. Hayward has decided to call it a career at the age of 34 as opposed to ring chasing and extending his NBA career going.

Depite being something of an ironman during his 7 seasons in Utah, injuries haunted Hayward the rest of his career, despite impressively returning a year later from from his gruesome leg injury in his Celtics debut. Hayward was a huge get for Danny Ainge and Brad Stevens, but ends up more of a "would could of been" in Celtics history.
