Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert is one of the more polarizing players in the NBA. While he’s one of the best interior defenders of our generation, he’s often scrutinized for his limited offensive skillset.
It appears Gobert is determined to expand his offense as he recently worked out with world-famous shooting coach Chris Matthews, aka Lethal Shooter.
His workout was focused on offensive footwork, floaters and mid-range pull-up jumpers.
Rudy Gobert is committed to mastering his footwork and learning quicker reads to a smooth rhythm. I’ve been blessed over my career to help Anthony Davis, Domantas Sabonis, Bobby Portis, Dwight Howard etc. Five guys who are dominate from 15ft and in. pic.twitter.com/P2PPptjmRe

The workout video was posted just days after NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal blasted Gobert on a podcast, saying he hates Gobert and that he’ll wear a dress to the ceremony if the Frenchman is ever inducted into the Hall of Fame.
While it’s unlikely that Gobert will ever become a lights out long-range shooter, a more versatile offensive game would make him even more valuable to the Timberwolves.
