Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs dominated the Milwaukee Bucks 127-95 on Saturday, eliminating them from playoff contention.

The Bucks have been a mainstay in the NBA postseason ever since drafting Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2013. They will now miss the playoffs for the first time since 2015-16.

Milwaukee’s season has been marred by injuries and disappointment. Antetokounmpo has battled knee injuries all year and has only appeared in 36 games so far.

His absence has been a major part of why the Bucks fell out of the playoffs this year. At 29-44 on the season, they have been at the center of many recent discussions regarding tanking.

For the Spurs, the victory pushes them to 56-18 on the season, including eight straight victories. They are now just two games behind the OKC Thunder for the top seed in the Western Conference.
