Watch: Tim Duncan shows hilarious side in rare interview

The great Tim Duncan was barely in the limelight during his years winning championships, so it only stood to reason that he became even more removed from the public eye in retirement.

Nearly eight years after retirement, Duncan recently blessed the basketball universe with a rare interview, except it wasn't a regular interview in the slightest.

While chatting with his former Spurs teammate, Richard Jefferson, Duncan made light of every question thrown at him. In the six-minute interview, he joked about Tony Parker while dissing his former point guard, refused to talk about his kids, questioned Jefferson's interviewing credentials and even named his favorite karaoke song.

Oh, and he pleaded the Fifth when asked to weigh in on the NBA's GOAT debate.

Perhaps the interview was designed to entice laughs and puns. Ironically enough, Duncan's persona, playing style and on-court demeanor screamed the opposite through his 19 years in the NBA.

Duncan retired in 2016 after leading the Spurs to five NBA titles between 1999 and 2014. The consensus greatest power forward ever, Duncan won two MVPs and three Finals MVPs besides making 15 All-NBA and All-Defensive teams during his storied career. His No. 21 jersey was retired by the Spurs in 2016.
