While the Hawks attempted to hold onto their lead midway through the fourth quarter, Bulls guard Ayo Dosunmu was checked out of the game during a stoppage of play. As Dosunmu was leaving the floor, Hawks guard Trae Young slapped him on the backside.
Dosunmu immediately took offense and turned around before getting in Young’s face. As the two got tied up, Young appeared to take a swing at Dosunmu.
While the act might be reviewed by the league later, the officials decided to keep both players in the game and issued double technical fouls.
