In the penultimate game of the regular season on Friday, the San Antonio Spurs picked up a 139-120 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.

Victor Wembanyama got off to a hot start on Friday, taking complete control of the game early and putting up 16 points in the first quarter alone.

While they continued to play well in the second quarter, Cooper Flagg and the Mavs came alive as the same time to regain momentum. By halftime, San Antonio was ahead by three.

The third quarter was the game-deciding factor, and the Spurs were on fire. San Antonio knocked down 14 of their 21 shot attempts in the third frame to jump out to a double-digit advantage. Wembanyama continued to terrorize the Mavericks, as the game got out of hand.

As the points piled on for the Spurs, the Mavericks couldn’t keep up.

In the fourth quarter, San Antonio’s offense cooled off a bit, but the Spurs managed to keep their distance and secure the win.

Wembanyama had a spectacular night with 40 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and two blocks.

For the Mavericks, Flagg put on a show with 33 points, six rebounds and five assists.
