Victor Wembanyama is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft later this week, and before that he was doing the usual media tour of events around New York City.
That included throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before Tuesday's New York Yankees game against the Seattle Mariners.
It was just a bit outside.

To be fair, throwing out the first pitch from the mound is an intimidating experience for non-baseball players. It is further than you think, there are a ton of people watching and you have the natural nerves going.
As far as first pitches go, that is far from the worst we have ever seen.
The truly wild thing about this was before Wembanyama threw out the first pitch he was photographed holding a Major League baseball and it looked tiny in his hand.

That is wild.
For reference, Wembanyama is somewhere in the vicinity of 7-foot-4. That is a large human being. With that sort of grip, he would probably be able to get some insane spin on his pitch and throw an incredible curveball.
That, however, will have to wait because his immediate future is in the NBA. He is one of the most hyped prospects to enter the NBA since LeBron James and is expected to be going to the San Antonio Spurs with the top pick.
