Bub Carrington has had a strong start to his professional hooping career.

The 19-year-old guard had an excellent Summer League stint with the Washington Wizards months after the team drafted him No. 14 overall. Now, he is playing better and better with each NBA preseason game. Check out his highlights below so far from the Wizards’ preseason campaign.

In a recent survey released by the NBA, many GMs across the sport think that he will be a star in the future.

When asked “Which rookie will be the best player in five years?” several GMs replied with Carrington, He was tied for fourth in the voting with 7% of the GMs voting for him. Then, when asked, “Which rookie was the biggest steal at where he was selected in the Draft?” Carrington tied for first in the voting, earning 10% of the vote from GMs.

Carrington started 33 games for Pitt as a rookie, averaging 13.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. The Baltimore, Maryland native shot 41% from the field and 32% from three-point range in his freshman campaign, and alongside Jaland Lowe and Ishmael Leggett, starred for the Panthers in the back court.

Recently, Carrington’s teammate Corey Kispert praised him as well.

“He flips the switch,” Kispert said about Carrington. “He is the most friendly, talkative, bubbly guy off of the court, and then, as soon as the ball goes up, he turns into a killer. You want guys like that on your team and you hate playing against guys like that on other teams. Bub doesn’t know any better. He is so young and it is almost that naive confidence that he brings that helps feed me as an older guy on this team. I try to bring that same energy and match him because he kind of carries the energy if I don’t.”
