They could look to go all-in on another star and pair Davis with Scottie Barnes in their frontcourt.

According to multiple league figures, they believe Davis on the Raptors is the “cleanest basketball fit,” per Grant Afseth.

“Toronto [Raptors], however, is viewed by multiple league figures as the cleanest basketball fit of the three reported potential suitors.

“While Toronto boasts depth and versatility, there is a belief that adding a proven All-Star could elevate the team into a more serious postseason threat.”

They would likely include RJ Barrett or Immanuel Quickley along with Jakob Poeltl and draft compensation as the main framework of the deal.

Barrett would likely be the one to be included in the deal for Davis because he has been having a big year for the Raptors and he seems like someone the Mavericks would want back.

It seems risky if the Raptors trade for another injury-prone star, but it’s one that could pay off in a big way.
