The Golden State Warriors have been busy adding to their roster before the start of the 2025-26 NBA season.

The Golden State Warriors signed Al Horford to a multi-year deal and committed to deals with Gary Payton II and De’Anthony Melton.

They also signed their No. 56 pick of the 2025 NBA Draft Will Richard to a four-year deal and signed No. 52 pick Alex Toohey to a two-way NBA contract.

The Warriors weren’t done there, they are also adding Ja’vier Francis on an Exhibit 10 training camp deal.

NBA scout says Ja’vier Francis ‘can contribute immediately as a rebounder, defender, shot blocker’

Ja’Vier Francis was a versatile forward for the Houston Cougars, averaging 5.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.0 block per game during the 2024-25 season.

Francis participated with the Warriors during their Summer League as the undrafted rookie will be considered for a roster spot with the G League’s Santa Cruz Warriors.

When Francis committed to Houston, President and Scout for OTR Exposure talked about Francis’ strengths.

“7’4 wingspan. ELITE timing on blocked shots and tip dunks.

“He can contribute immediately as a rebounder, defender, shot blocker.

“Just turned 17. Still young; raw. I think it’s great for UH. If he stayed at Westbury Christian, he’s the #1 player in the city.”

Jonathan Kuminga was not with the Golden State Warriors at media day

Jonathan Kuminga did not attend the Golden State Warriors media day as the two sides continue to be at a contract stalemate.

Jonathan Kuminga has until October 1 to accept the Warriors’ $7.9 million qualifying offer for the 2025-26 season, which would make him an unrestricted free agent next summer.

The Warriors’ most recent contract offers to Kuminga are reportedly for three years and $75 million or two years and $45 million, with both deals including a team option in the final year.

Kuminga was heavily rumored to be a sign-and-trade candidate, with the Sacramento Kings getting involved, but things have quieted down on that front.
