The Houston Rockets have a new name battling to earn a place on their stacked roster.
A busy free agency and trade period has seen the Houston Rockets add Kevin Durant, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Clint Capela to their roster.
There have been outgoings too, with Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and Cam Whitmore all sent away in trades.
The Rockets’ moves put them in the title conversation for next season, and they are now set to assess various prospects during the upcoming Summer League.
One of the intriguing names on the Houston Rockets’ Summer League roster is Uros Trifunovic.
Uros Trifunovic, 24, is making his first attempt to make it onto an NBA roster.
The Serbian has been playing in Europe for the past seven seasons, spending six years with Partizan, before joining Turkish side Tofas in 2024.
Now with his contract in Turkey expired, Trifunovic is ready to try his luck in the NBA. He had originally declared in 2020 before withdrawing.
Trifunovic has represented Serbia at full international level and at youth level, winning a gold medal at the under-18 Fiba World Cup. While at Partizan he won the Serbian Cup twice.
According to Eurohoops Turkey, Trifunovic averaged 11.4 points per game playing for Tofas last season, who finished fourth in the league.
For the Rockets he is worth taking a flier on, but Trifunovic will really have to impress to make it onto their very competitive squad.
