Jimmy Butler was frustrated with Buddy Hield during the Golden State Warriors’ defeat to the Orlando Magic.

The Warriors had won three consecutive games before the Magic prevailed at the Kia Center on Tuesday night.

Stephen Curry (34) and Butler (33) scored a combined 67 points, but it was not enough to continue their winning streak.

The Warriors players made several mistakes throughout the game, one of which provoked Butler to shout at Hield.

Jimmy Butler shouts at Buddy Hield after mistake vs Magic

Jimmy Butler had possession of the ball in the corner when he saw Buddy Hield running towards the basket.

Butler threw the ball in Hield’s direction around the edge of the paint, but it flew over the shooting guard’s head.

Do you think this will be LeBron James’ final season?

Moments later, during a break in play, Butler shouted, “Put your hands up. I’m never passing you the ball again.”

Hield’s unimpressed response was also caught on the television coverage. “Don’t be like that,” he said.

Butler and Hield have developed a close relationship on the Warriors, so it is unlikely that this will turn into a bigger issue.

However, the incident summed up Golden State’s lacklustre performance against the Magic and arguably their season as a whole.

Jimmy Butler identifies Warriors turnover problem

A key reason for the Warriors’ 121-113 defeat to the Magic was that they lost the turnover battle.

The Warriors had 18 turnovers, four more than their opponents, with Butler contributing three of them.

The small forward explained after the game that he needs to set a better example for his teammates by taking care of the basketball.

“We turned the ball over a lot. They got some costly offensive rebounds, and that’s the game,” Butler told a reporter in a post-game interview.

“I’m not going to say it’s frustrating. I can’t expect my guys not to turn the ball over when I’m out there turning the ball over.

“I’ve always been one to lead by example, so if I’m turning the ball over, I guess it gives everyone else the right to turn the ball over.

“We’ve just got to get back to giving a damn about every single possession, which is definitely going to start with me not turning the ball over.”
