Why Rockets Will Love Chance to Play vs. Spurs
© Scott Wachter-Imagn Images

On Wednesday, the San Antonio Spurs will take on the Houston Rockets in the second part of a road back-to-back. The Spurs have lost three straight, including two losses to the New Orleans Pelicans. Agsinst the Rockets, without Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs are heavy underdogs.

For the in-state rivals, a chance to utterly embarrass the Spurs hasn't been a rare opportunity in recent years, although the Rockets are expected to make the most of it.

Keep it posted to Inside the Spurs for all the latest news, ranging from odds (via FanDuel), injury reports for both teams and TV information.

With little reason to believe that the Spurs will be able to stop or even slow down the Rockets, no Victor Wembanyama, and the game being broadcast nationally, diehard Spurs fans would do best to avoid social media after a possible bludgeoning, as the "little brother" Rocket fans will certainly be making their rounds, which will be well-earned.

Houston has lost eight of their last 12 games, so it isn't an absolute lock that the Spurs won't be able to work their magic, but fans shouldn't get their hopes too high until after the final buzzer sounds.
