Why Warriors Fans Should Appreciate Injury Report

"Whoop that trick" has become synonymous with the peak of Memphis Grizzlies' fame, especially regarding their rivalry with the Golden State Warriors. However, the Warriors don't appear whipped for their Thursday evening matchup. Conversely, the Memphis Grizzlies' injury report includes a plethora of players.

The injury report reveals good news for Warriors fans.

In addition to the injury report excluding Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, the Warriors will debut backup point guard Dennis Schroder in a likely significantly tense battle against a playoff nuisance. Both such facts are positive for Warriors fans.

With the Warriors at their lowest point of their season, they require rejuvenation—the insertion of Schroder into a lineup lacking a secondary ball-handler since De'Anthony Melton's season-ending injury.

Considering the Warriors' 14-11 record, which places them eighth in the Western Conference, beating the Grizzlies will benefit them greatly.

Conversely, the Grizzlies have seven players listed on the injury report. One Grizzlies player influences the outcome of the game drastically. However, if Ja Morant doesn't play due to a back ailment, the Warriors could see themselves beating the 18-9 Grizzlies at FedExForum.
