He was under Ime Udoka in Boston and Gregg Popovich in San Antonio, but Will Hardy is cutting his teeth with the Utah Jazz in being a head coach.

The 37-year-old is trying to set the right culture in place as the Jazz have had three straight losing seasons since the 2022-23 campaign. It finished this season at 17-65, but does have talented pieces such as Colin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson.

Utah believes it has the right coach in Hardy to turn things around.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reported the team signed Hardy to a six-year extension that goes through the 2030-31 season.

The Jazz are hopeful to get a marquee pick in the NBA Draft Lottery to continue building toward success.

He sat under great coaches, but we will find out if Hardy is built for greatness himself.
