It hangs on to Kyle Kuzma and Alex Sarr, but the Washington Wizards parted from Jordan Poole in a trade.
Poole, a talented shooting guard, spent the last two seasons with the Wizards.
He averaged a career-high 20.5 points per game this season, while shooting 43.2 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from three-point range. Poole, 26, won an NBA Championship with the Golden State Warriors in the 2021-22 season — totaling 18.5 points per game that year. Washington also was able to hang on to Khris Middleton, a three-time NBA All-Star. The 33-year-old was teammates with Giannis Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee for the Bucks’ NBA Championship run in the 2020-21 campaign.
Middleton averaged 20.4 points per game that year.
ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Monday that Middleton picked up his $33.3 million player option for next season. He scored 10.7 points per matchup in 14 games in Washington after playing the first 23 games of this season in Milwaukee.
