Wizards' Russell Westbrook questionable for Game 3 vs. 76ers

The Washington Wizards trail the Philadelphia 76ers 2-0 in their best-of-seven first-round playoff series and might have to take the floor for Saturday's Game 3 without a key figure.

According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, star Washington guard Russell Westbrook did not practice Friday and is questionable for Saturday's contest because of the ankle injury he suffered in the fourth quarter of Game 2 Wednesday night that Philadelphia won 120-95.

Wizards coach Scott Brooks told reporters Westbrook will test the ankle Saturday morning to see if he can go for the matchup that Washington likely must win to have even a small chance of completing what would be a massive postseason upset.

This series might ultimately be remembered for a fan pouring popcorn onto Westbrook's head as he left the court Wednesday following his injury. Members of the Washington coaching staff had to restrain the 2017 NBA Most Valuable Player immediately after the incident, and that fan was ultimately ejected and later banned from the arena.
