How to destroy a young goalie's confidence by Zinedine Zidane
The last time the casual soccer fans of the world saw Zinedine Zidane, he was attempting to put his skull through the chest of Italian defender. Well, old age may have softened the French star a bit, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have time to completely eviscerate a young netminder's dignity for the sake of his own entertainment.

ngngsports.com

Charlotte Cross may very well be the oldest Lakers fan alive. Now, even though living to see the age of 106 is something for all of us to marvel at, there is another quality that Charlotte has that is more newsworthy, to me at least. That quality is that she doesn’t like Lamar Odom...

Fangraphs

Pedro makes it into the Smithsonian
Sportress of Blogitude

According to the Smithsonian’s press release, Martinez’s portrait will be the first painting exhibited at the Gallery to feature a Major League baseball player. The portrait, painted in 2000 by Susan Miller-Havens with oil and beeswax on Baltic Birch, is most certainly a finely crafted piece of art, but am I the only one who finds it a tad bizarre that they elected to go with Pedro?

Stacheketball

He is the leader of this team, both on paper and in our eyes. He has the swagger, the stats and the highlights. The numbers are there, too. Rose doesn’t lead the league in a single stat. In fact, he doesn’t even make the top five by any metric...
