It seems like a ridiculous number of NFL games have gone into overtime through the first six weeks of the season, doesn't it?
That's because a whopping 11 games have gone into OT so far, which is the second-most through six weeks in the history of the league, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

This week alone featured three OT games, two of which got pretty crazy toward the end. First, the Cowboys and Patriots traded leads multiple times in the final minutes on Sunday afternoon en route to Dallas winning 35-29.

Then, some interesting officiating played a role in the final seconds of Sunday night's tilt between the Seahawks and the Steelers, much to the chagrin of Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin — although the Steelers did eventually win 23-20.

No games have finished in a tie yet this season. The last tie took place last season when the Eagles and Bengals combined for six punts on 45 offensive yards in overtime that resulted in a 23-23 draw.
